Service Coating FR-1 is a water-based intumescent cable coating that can be applied in a single coat, has near-zero VOC content, and provides up to 105 minutes of fire resistance with a consumption rate of 1.284 L/m².

 

Protecta® Service Coating FR-1 is a water-based intumescent cable coating developed to protect cables by expanding when exposed to fire.

It maintains the fire resistance and integrity of cables. It is non-toxic, emission-free, durable and can be applied as a single coat, saving both time and money.

Protecta® Service Coating FR-1 provides excellent fire resistance and protects vinyl cables against fire. To achieve higher fire resistance, it can be applied in layers to service installations together with Protecta® FR Board.

Sound Insulation:

Rw 55 dB – When Protecta® FR Coating is applied at a thickness of 1.0 mm to both sides of mineral wool with a minimum density of 160 kg/m³ and a minimum thickness of 50 mm.

Fire Resistance:

Provides up to 3 hours of fire resistance.
