FR Graphite Plate Ready-to-Use Self-Adhesive Graphite Plate for Wall Panels
FR Graphite Plate is a graphite plate that expands during a fire to prevent the passage of flames and smoke through plasterboard walls containing electrical and socket boxes, providing at least 60 minutes of fire resistance.
Protecta® FR Graphite Plate is used to restore fire resistance in plasterboard walls where fire insulation performance has been reduced by electrical panels or recessed boxes. It is installed on one or both sides of the wall at openings provided for conduits and cables entering socket boxes.
When exposed to fire, the graphite plate reacts and expands automatically to seal the box, preventing the passage of fire and smoke. The use of Protecta® FR Graphite Plate increases the fire-resistance performance of flexible wall constructions to at least 60 minutes. It also prevents smoke and fire from passing through electrical conduits between socket boxes. Protecta® FR Graphite Plate is available in both circular and square forms.
