FR Coating Fire-Resistant Panel Paint
A water-based firestop coating applied by spraying onto stone wool surfaces; upon drying, it forms a durable, flexible, and white surface that provides fire sealing alongside strong surface adhesion.
Protecta® FR Coating is a water-based sealant product designed as a firestop. Protecta® FR Coating is a durable polymer formulation containing inert fillers, halogen-free fire retardants, and protection against microbial attack.
Protecta® FR Coating is designed to be applied directly onto stone wool by spraying. Once the paint dries, it forms a tough, flexible white surface. It reduces delamination during the installation of stone wool and enhances the adhesion of adhesive and fixing sealants to the surface.

Protecta® FR Coating applied to Protecta® FR Board is suitable for all building types, with or without service shafts. It can be used on most substrates including concrete, brick, steel, timber, plasterboard, glass, plastic, and non-porous surfaces.
Sound Insulation:
Rw 55 dB – Protecta® FR Coating, applied at a thickness of 1.0 mm on both sides of stone wool with a density of at least 160 kg/m³ and a thickness of at least 50 mm.
Fire Resistance:
Provides up to 3 hours of fire resistance.
