Ex Mortar Firestopping Mortar
White firestopping mortar made from inorganic components and perlite, which, when mixed with water, provides high thermal insulation and prevents the spread of fire and smoke through wall and floor penetrations.
Protecta® EX Mortar is a white powder consisting of inorganic components and perlite. When mixed with water, it forms a highly thermally insulating fire seal that prevents the spread of fire and smoke through openings in fire-resistant walls and floors, including wall or floor penetrations.
CERTIFICATIONS:

- Approved for use in concrete, brick, gypsum and similar walls and floors.
- Suitable for cables, cable bundles, cable racks, cable trays, steel, copper, Alupex and plastic pipes, as well as air ventilation ducts. Easy to apply.
- Provides high mechanical strength and is load-bearing without reinforcement.
- Priming is not required before application to most building material surfaces. However, metal services in contact with the mortar must be protected against corrosion.
- Suitable for most surfaces, including concrete, brick, Leca, steel and plastic. Not suitable for installing doors or moving service openings.
- Approved for use in plasterboard walls; however, the use of Protecta® FR Board is recommended for these applications.
- Sets completely within one hour.
- The compound achieves its fire resistance after being allowed to dry for one month.
- Has an unlimited shelf life when stored under suitable conditions.
