Acrylic Intumescent-Based Acrylic Mastic
A versatile firestopping mastic for a wide range of passive fire protection applications, which expands to seal gaps created by burning plastic pipes thanks to its intumescent properties.
Protecta® FR Acrylic is the most sought-after product in the mastic range. The main reason is that, with a few exceptions, it has been developed and tested for use in almost all passive fire protection applications, eliminating the need to use multiple types of mastic on the construction site.
In addition, when used with SR Board, Protecta® FR Acrylic provides market-leading fire resistance, making the system unique. Protecta® FR Acrylic has been extensively tested in a wide range of applications and is intumescent; therefore, even if plastic pipes burn, it expands to fill the resulting opening.
